I dunno, I can't say for sure. I can only speak from my experience. And direct or secondhand interaction with the audience/content is more engaging. Then again, what the fuck do I know? That is an interesting detail where the privating/unlisting of offending material is what would get you in trouble. Unlisting I could understand because anyone can still watch it as long as they have a link. But privating? Talk about trying to be safer than sorry.
