When you reject the New Covenant of being led by the Holy Ghost and instead take the bible for the Word of God. Then you have committed the abomination that makes desolation again (like the Jews did when they crucified Jesus). The bible is the mark of the beast. This angers God and He will not accept you with the mark of the beast in your hand or in your head, it means you want the flesh and not God who is a Spirit.

The Modern Church has instead fallen in love with Paul, or, more correctly, the points in Paul's writings that soften the requirements of costly grace which Jesus taught. This causes a vying for control over the church. Either Paul and his Dispensation of Grace applies, or Jesus and His costly grace gospel applies, as Bonhoeffer highlighted. We have developed two masters. Mainstream Christian theologians largely defend dismissing Jesus' words as applicable only to a prior dispensation of Law. Sometimes this is called Dispensationalism or Covenant Theology, but it all ends up the same: marginalizing Jesus' words.

During the feet washing, Jesus told the lost one his fault (he was not clean) and kept it between the two of them alone. Then he cast the devil out of him by washing him clean. Then he showed him forgiveness for his trespass when he associated it with an action of his foot—just after he washed his feet. As a result of the special act of love that Jesus performed for the lost one, Jesus gained his brother, Judas Iscariot.

Then, after Jesus gained his brother Judas, he sent him to deliver him.

Then, because Jesus had raised him up again, Judas overcame Satan (who entered into him just after Jesus signaled that he chose him, and who opposed those things of God that Jesus said must happen) and glorified Jesus.

The identity of the disciple whom Jesus loved was concealed deliberately by the evangelist because that identity was to serve as a revelation before the Day of Christ.

In the first example cited, the thing to which Satan was opposed was the delivery of Jesus to suffer and to be killed. Those were things of God. In the second example cited, Satan was in favor of Judas becoming a traitor. That was a thing not of God. (Luke 6:16)

TheBibleisTHEMARK Whether people simply go to the grave upon death or whether they enter some kind of underworld, the Hebrew Bible consistently imagines that the same fate is in store for everybody, the righteous and wicked alike. Perhaps the starkest example of this appears in the prophetic curses of Israel’s enemies, which emphasize how these “great” kings and conquerors end up in sheʾol, like everybody else. (4 months ago)
TheBibleisTHEMARK Because nothing done spiritually, that is only in idea, thought or imagination, can possibly ever constitute the true Messiah, or Anointed, for this plain and most simple reason, that it requires the literal act of pouring on the literal oil, as required by the Law of God*, and which oil was to be made according to the direction given in a Law of God, (see Ex. 30:23-33,) before any one can ever possibly lay any claim, as being the true Messiah, or "Anointed of the God of Jacob." TheBibleisTHEMARK The Bible generally uses the Greek word stau·rosʹ when referring to the instrument of Jesus’ execution. (Matthew 27:40; John 19:17) Although translations often render this word “cross,” many scholars agree that its basic meaning is actually “upright stake.”a According to A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament, stau·rosʹ “never means two pieces of wood joining each other at any angle.” (4 months ago)
