(more info)
This website attempts to rebuild all the old Google search layouts using Google Custom Search. In this video, we'll be looking at the 2009 and 2010 versions. (2010 is the most complete)
NEW Address: oldgoogle.neocities.org
http://oldgoogle.890m.com/search-home.aspx
http://oldgsearch.blogspot.com/
https://www.vidlii.com/user/evancunningham

To install the userstyle shown in video, copy the CSS from here: https://pixeldra.in/u/3DZmW7

Caveat, incompatible with the "Order by" filter/button. Block the following in uBlock Origin:
oldgoogle.890m.com##.gcsc-branding
oldgoogle.890m.com##.gsc-orderby

Browser shown is Pale Moon with the Aeromoon theme and rebrand-xpi to make give it the Firefox branding. See this video for details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFpimon_cvY

inb4 anyone asks: its windows 7 with a theme.... cap'n userstyle has spoken :^)

New update: Search box has been reverted from the material one to our classic one because it matches our new look better, especially since we're starting to move away from MD.

I'm working on a website that will do this but hopefully integrates with vidlii accounts.
The nostalgia net will rise!

2010 Videos works fine for me, and 2009 isn't supposed to have an images view.

@tesco It's only original items on it that still use them. Newly updated ones with images are usually hosted on:

@tesco Also, some of the original content was taken straight from there and edited, but nowadays we copy it, patch it up, and get it working properly. (That includes images not being hosted on there.)

Hey, can you actually pay for hosting? Hostinger is garbage (terrible support, horrible uptime, bad speed, etc.) and so are all free web hosts with PHP/MySQL support.

Blog address has been moved to http://oldgsearch.blogspot.com/ as the old name 'googlenewsandoldgoogle' was too long and confusing. We'll provide the same content as ever though!

It seems that shopping search didn't get the 2010 V2 UI I made that's more accurate yet. Oops.

@evancunningham That sounds like a cool project. Have you ever heard of utube classic? http://utubeclassic.com/#
The site is now defunct, but when it worked you could search any video and watch it via embed player over there. It even showed comments and related videos. It was quite limited though. Only 1 page search results, the channel pages looked strange, and the layout overall wasn't the greatest. Here's some old footage I captured while it worked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyszZUdYVvo

I'll add the blog and contact links when I finish redesigning the site. When you made the video, I began changing the homepage but the other pages didn't have the new CSS file added yet.

@11ryanc Soon I plan to launch an old YT servicce, but it will have limited functionality (I'll add videos people want me to add and I want to add but no signup-login service) but its not a high priority right now. I am deciding I will soon add the CSS to 2009. In the past, 2009 was based on the &output=custom result page, but it will soon be upgraded and improved.

@evancunningham Regardless of the @tag, I'm still notified whenever a comment is posted on my videos.
I actually kind of figured this site belonged to you. Yeah, that's what I've been trying to explain to people getting the malware warnings. The google-like domain name and non functional login terminal are probably being falsely flagged as phishing attempts. I think some ISP's are going as far as to blocking access. @MacromediaMonkey have you tried using another dns server? Are you able to click past the warning and proceed?

Thanks for the contact info and blog link. I guess my only suggestion would be to add the contact email and blog link to the main site for newcomers to easily follow status of the website. CSS on the results page would be good too. This is really an awesome project btw. Been waiting for something like this to come along.

hasn't worked ever
once worked with google dns

You've contradicting your first sentence bud. You also answered your own question. I would recommend just witching over to Google DNS. You can also try OpenDNS.

@11ryanc I don't know why MacromediaMonkey is being so dumb.
