Vidlii has been anti-intellectualism since the beginning, so much so it might as well be considered a feature instead of a bug at this point. That's not to say anti-intellectualism is a good thing, but it's one of those things thats deeply engrained into the website's culture, and if we're talking about a shitposting old youtube clone, I don't exactly go into that with the expectation of peak human discourse.

If you wanna argue vidlii is a joke site not for politics. I understand that. But what about allegations of sex crimes or Loli?
Why can't you discuss allegations of shitty people on here and if your evidence is proven true. The bad guys actually get either banned or get so dislike bombed that they leave the site voluntarily.
Like imagine if I had a comedy club but I had a rule against female comedians opening up about their rape trauma on stage and the audience makes fun of her for her trauma?

Like vidlii users have the mindset of a man who tells a raped victim "what were you wearing?"
Instead of actually listening to the rape victims story and either punishing the rapist or look into the evidence if they think it's a lie and then come to a conclusion about if the accuser or the accused gets punished after all the evidence gets looked and judged properly.
Vidlii users have that same mindset for debates about loli. Sex crimes. Politics. Religion. That should not be normal.

I get your point about Streisand effect. But people should call out shitty behavior when they see it. Imagine if we all just clowned on every holocaust victim or every Epstein victim and called them all moralfags for coming out? We would be in chaos and barbaric as a society if we just did that for every serious allegation. It's fine to dispute if allegations are true or false but don't insult the accuser if you don't have a refutation to their evidence about your serious crime.

This is the double edged sword of Vidlii being a smaller, more community focused video sharing website. If drama like this occured on YouTube or Odysee, either nobody would care or it would be much easier to ignore because the user base is big enough to have several containerized microcommunities. On Vidlii however, every drama is the big shot talk of the town. You can still ignore it, but its much harder to, especially if people try to get you involved.

I've never seen anyone "spam" ED lingo but I don't think the terms are bad. Sometimes they're overused by ironically detached psychos on the interwebz sure, but often times it unfortunately applies. Perhaps in Vidlii's case "drama queen" is more accurate. Say what you will about JTAL or Sneed, people often make the problem worse by complaining about it, like when CUM11 made that video complaining about loli and surprise surprise, there was more of it!
